This simple route allows you to experience the tranquillity and far-reaching views of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, without venturing too far from civilisation. Yorkshire Dales and Herriot Country
Expect stunning scenery surrounding picturesque villages and market towns. Walking in the Dales is just perfect if you want to get fit, with plenty of climbs uphill, down-dale and over those dry stone walls the area is so famous for!
Herriot Country extends into parts of the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales and has masses to offer you and your ‘creatures great and small’. If you are a fan of the James Herriot stories, a stop-off at the market town of Thirsk will be just perfect after your walk in the nearby Yorkshire Dales made famous by the TV series.
